For the website axonevo.ch and the Axonevo app · Last updated: August 2026
1. Controller
The controller for data processing within the meaning of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) is:
AXONEVO GmbH
Melchtalerstrasse 24
CH-6064 Kerns, Switzerland
Email: info@axonevo.ch
2. Scope and legal basis
This privacy policy applies to the website axonevo.ch as well as to the Axonevo app (iOS and Android) and the services connected with them. We process personal data in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and limit ourselves to the data required to operate our services. Where the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in individual cases, we base the processing on the performance of a contract, on your consent, on legitimate interests or on legal obligations.
3. Data processing on the website
3.1 Server log data
When you visit the website, our hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical data, including IP address, date and time of access, pages visited, browser type and operating system. We need this data to provide the website and to ensure its stability and security, for example to detect misuse. It does not allow us to identify individual visitors and is deleted after a short time, unless it is needed to investigate a specific security incident.
3.2 Contact and beta forms
If you write to us via the contact form or the beta request form, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, institution, role, inquiry and message text) exclusively to answer your inquiry and to handle the communication with you. The transmission takes place by email to our mailbox. We keep the correspondence for as long as is necessary to process the inquiry and any follow-up questions.
3.3 No tracking or analytics services
We currently do not use any analytics or marketing tools and no tracking cookies on the website. A single cookie only stores your language preference. Fonts and other resources are served locally. Should we use such services in the future, we will update this privacy policy.
4. Data processing in the Axonevo app
- Account and profile data: name, form of address, email address, account identifiers, onboarding and consent status.
- Simulation and learning data: inputs and answers in case simulations, activity histories, evaluation results and progress scores.
- Audio and transcription data: voice recordings and transcripts created from them when you use voice features.
- Technical and usage data: device and app metadata, device identifiers, IP address, log, crash and diagnostic data.
- Support communication: information from support or deletion requests.
The app does not process real patient data. The case simulations are based on fictional scenarios. Please do not enter data of real patients in free-text or voice features.
5. Where the data comes from
We receive personal data directly from you (e.g. during registration, in simulations or in support), automatically through your use of the app (e.g. log and diagnostic data), and from the technical infrastructure that provides the service.
6. Purposes of processing
- providing and operating the app and your account,
- running the case simulations and creating the automated evaluations (AI features),
- displaying your learning history and progress,
- ensuring security and detecting and fixing errors and misuse,
- improving and further developing the service,
- handling support requests,
- fulfilling legal obligations.
7. AI features and consent
Core features of the app, in particular simulations, transcription and automated evaluations, are provided with the help of AI services. You give your consent to AI processing in the profile settings of the app. You can withdraw it there at any time with effect for the future; without this consent, the features concerned are not available.
8. Processors
To operate the app, we use two service providers as processors: Supabase for storage and data infrastructure, and Google (Vertex AI) for AI processing. These service providers process personal data only within the scope of our instructions and on the basis of contractual agreements. If the set of service providers we use changes, we will update this privacy policy.
9. Storage location and disclosure abroad
App data is stored in Switzerland or in the European Economic Area. As part of AI processing, data may also be processed in other countries, in particular in the USA. We only disclose personal data to countries without an adequate level of data protection if suitable safeguards are in place, namely recognized standard contractual clauses, or if a legal exception applies.
10. Retention and deletion
We keep personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose: account data until the account is deleted (subject to legal retention obligations), simulation and evaluation data for the duration of use as your learning history, technical logs for a limited time, unless they are needed to investigate security incidents. After that, the data is deleted or anonymized. You can request deletion of your account by email to the address given above; instructions can be found in the tutorial Delete profile.
11. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss and misuse, and we continuously develop these measures. However, as with all digital services, absolute security of data transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed.
12. Your rights
Within the scope of applicable law, you have in particular the right to information about the data processed about you, to correction of inaccurate data, to deletion, to restriction of processing, to receiving or transferring your data, and the right to withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please contact the address given above. We may request proof of identity. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
13. Minors
The app is aimed at people in medical education and continuing education and not at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
14. Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for example in the case of new features, new service providers or changed legal requirements. The version published on this page applies.
